I was living in New York on 9-11, and watched the chaos from my Brooklyn apartment. Five weeks later, I had the unique opportunity to see Ground Zero up close, well before it was open to the public. The scope of the devastation was unbelievable, more so than pictures could ever portray. New York City, during and after 9-11, 2001.
